On January 31th at Westgate Lanes in Brockton, MA, Ed Miller (170 Avg) finished first and won $5,000.00 by defeating Lucindo Rosa (208 Avg). In this championship match, Ed shot a score of 195 (w/hdcp) and Lucindo shot a 175 (w/hdcp). Lucindo took home $2,500.00 for this second place finish. James Ruscio (189 Avg) and Cindy Cabral (155 Avg) also took home $1,000.00 each for 3rd and 4th place finishes. Ed has been a dedicated member of The People’s Tournament since January of 2004 and Lucindo has been a dedicated member of The People’s Tournament since October of 2006.
The Strike Jackpot was not hit and will increase to $200.00 for the February tournament.

Door Prize Winners:
John Hayes Jr. was the winner of the $50.00 gift certificate from USA Pro Shops. Linwood Cowen Jr. was the winner of the Storm bowling ball. Brian Blanchette was the winner of the My Bowling Diary software giveaway. Kyle Correia and Preston Cheeks were both winners of a $15.00 gift certificate for Westgate Lanes. Jason Sherwood, Lou Sham, and Gino Beniamino were all winners of a bottle of Knock Out ball treatment.
Our next tournament will be held at AMF Auburn Lanes (Auburn, MA) on February 27-28, 2010. The 1st Place Prize will be $5,000.00 and the 2nd Place Prize will be $2,500.00.
The squad times are: Saturday (February 27) at 6:00pm and Sunday (February 28) at 10:00am and 12:30pm.
